What is a Community School?
A community school is a strategy for organizing school and community resources around holistic student success. MTM’s community school strategy is based on four pillars: (1) integrated student supports, (2) expanded and enriched learning time and opportunities, (3) active family and community engagement, and (4) collaborative leadership and practices.
The staff at Millennial Tech Middle School take immense pride in being part of the Community School program. At our school, we’re not just a place of learning; we strive to be a hub of connection, collaboration, and support for the entire community.
Being a Community School allows our impact to go beyond the classroom. It’s a reflection of our deep commitment to the well-being of our students and the broader community we serve. We actively engage with parents, local businesses, and community organizations to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where everyone’s voice is valued. We host community events, workshops, and activities that bring us all together, fostering a sense of belonging and unity.
Our school is not just a building; it’s a shared space where dreams are nurtured, and futures are shaped collectively. We are proud to be an integral part of our community, and together, we are building a brighter tomorrow for all.
