Harry Potter for the Win!

I know what you’re thinking, Percy Jackson is better than Harry, but you must understand where I am coming from. We both love books and both books are great! But I personally believe Harry is better. Seaweed brain versus wizard, now let me explain!
For starters, I understand you would believe Percy is stronger than Harry, which could be true but knowing Percy had powers (since he is the son of Poseidon) and Harry didn’t and he had to master them for years and years. He even defeated the darkest wizard who was feared for years. And unlike Percy who chose to fight them, which was loyal and brave, the true meanings of a hero, but there is a difference between a hero and a legend. And man will I tell you Harry is a legend. He had no choice, and he was forced to by destiny. Yet, he had a choice. He could have fled, hide like any other, yet he didn’t. Though he lost everyone, he fought. He didn’t care whether or not he died, but he cared for those who died from. The characters might have not been real, but our tears for them were. That’s how you know that both of our books are the GOAT!
Furthermore, I know you say things like Percy can do this and Harry can’t do that. But that actually makes Harry more powerful! For example, you mentioned that he can control water, but Harry couldn’t, and that made me think! That means Harry defeated a powerful villain without natural born-powers! Not to mention, Percy found out he had powers on the toilet, when he exploded. Also Percy had to train with his friends and monsters while Harry had to learn by the book. Since Percy had it easy by learning to master by knowing his limits and having a connection with the water, while Harry was completely new to it and had help from Dumbledore to help him (which was hard because Dumbledore being Dumbledore).
Lastly, Has Percy ever been told he was going to die? Has Percy lost his parents, his last family member and his best friends? Has 29 people die right in front of his eyes? Has he ever been told in order for the world to live in peace he had to die? Harry had so much going on in his troubled life that he didn’t realize how empty he was inside, and that’s when I felt like he was the person I needed. This book series is what troubles me the most, the stress of seeing them fight, the way my favorite characters died, and Harry Potter wasn’t all about something it took me a while to figure out. I believed it was about fighting and being a hero, even when it seemed impossible, but it slowly took me a while to realize Harry didn’t want to be a hero. In fact, he did it for the sake of pressure and vengeance. It taught me how powerful love was, even if it may seem stupid and corny, it brought me joy. It showed me how it was to not have a family and it showed me how it was to live a real life of real depression.
To conclude, Harry potter may be a stupid book or even just a book to you, but it’s a far away home for me. And I hope it will be for you too.
